Loose Ends

Hacktoberfest 2026 · Slow and Steady

Keep the condition
with the task.

Turn scattered notes into editable action drafts. Check each draft beside its original words, then take your list away as Markdown.

1 minute 58 seconds · Bella narration · optional captions · actual local Qwen3 4B inference with synthetic notes. This edited tutorial includes close-ups and labelled reading holds; the inference wait plays at its original speed. Open video directly · Download captions. Captions are off by default; select Show captions to turn them on. Run the app locally using the setup guide.

Inside the walkthrough

  1. Paste a synthetic project handoff and select Find actions.
  2. Review three drafts and their original quotations. Mina's checklist task keeps “If the review passes.”
  3. Edit a draft and mark it done. The original evidence stays attached.
  4. Download the action list as Markdown.

An open model, a small chore

The demo runs Qwen locally on an Apple silicon Mac. The app is MIT licensed; model weights are downloaded separately under their own licenses.

Optional Groq processing must be selected explicitly. It sends submitted notes to Groq and may use paid API credit. Fresh pages default to local processing.

Processing and privacy details

Review the source, even when the list looks finished.

Long meetings remain a known weakness. The latest recorded hosted test found nine of ten expected actions in a synthetic 120-turn meeting and failed acceptance. Source checks help you inspect a draft; they do not establish completeness or correct interpretation.

Keep the condition with the task

Here's Loose Ends. It turns notes into a draft action list, with the original words beside each task. That matters when a promise starts with if.

Paste the handoff notes

Let's use a short example with Priya, Leo and Mina. These notes are made up. Paste them here, keeping each action and its condition on the same line.

Choose local processing

Choose This Mac to process the notes locally. When the model is ready, click Find actions. This is the actual wait from the recorded run.

Review drafts and attribution

We got three drafts, and one suggestion didn't pass the checks. Priya's draft is due Friday; Leo's says tomorrow. Those dates stay just as they were written.

Read the whole condition

Look at Mina's task. She'll archive the old checklist only if the review passes. That whole condition stays here, right beside the original quote.

Edit with the source attached

Let's make Priya's task clearer. Open Edit, add to the project team, and save. The app marks that change as yours and keeps the original quote.

Mark done and export

Now mark Priya's task done for the demo, and export. The Markdown file keeps the checkmark, your edit and the original source. Save it before closing the tab.

Understand hosted processing

You can also choose Groq. That's optional: submitting there sends your notes to Groq, and it may use paid API credit.

Know what still needs review

You'll still need to review the results. A longer meeting test using Groq missed a conditional commitment. A matching quote doesn't mean the list has everything.

Explore the open source

The app is open source under the MIT license. The model licenses are separate. You'll find the code and setup instructions on GitHub.
